TIS THE SEASON
Hello Friends,
We love the Christmas Season!
As we write this short note to you, we have our Christmas Tree all decorated, the house so decorated and have “Classic Christmas” songs playing in our house.
For Christmas this year our youngest daughter Audrianna (28) and her family from North Carolina will be with us for Christmas. Our littlest grand-daughter, Montana Jane, is now 15 months old and it will so fun to have here for Christmas and watch her eyes light up with the lights and colors and get into so many things. So nice.
We will talk to our other kids and their families in Tennessee and Colorado online on Christmas Day. We of course wish we could be with them but it’s nice we can see them open their presents and see the smiles on their faces.
Brenda’s Growing Up Christmas Memories . . .
- The photo above in Brenda and our youngest daughter in our backyard building snowmen in Budapest about 2005. Jim put the snowball on top of each other with our help.
-
Getting together on Christmas Eve with family and exchanging gifts, such a fun time together!
- Our silver tree with the rotating light shining on it, turning it red, then blue and then gold was so awesome!
- One Christmas when I was 8 years old, I got a big doll that could walk, I thought she was the greatest thing ever!
-
Growing up in Florida we didn’t have snow at Christmastime but one year we spent Christmas in Georgia with snow, sledding, and a real Christmas tree! It made quite an impression on me!
- My sister and I got matching tops and bell bottoms one Christmas and we thought we were the coolest!
Christmas Memories to Jim are . . .
- This Photo is of Brenda and Jim in the early 90’s skiing at Winter Park, Colorado while visiting my family on a short break from the overseas mission field. So young we were!!!
- Memories of growing up in a large family (I am one of eight) in Wisconsin and Colorado.
- I remember going to the forest on our farm with my father in Wisconsin to chop down a tree as a kid. We put “single string” silver tinsel on the tree.
- I remember going to Midnight Mass many times.
- Although our parents didn’t have much money they always made Christmas Special.
- Some of my favorite gifts I remember… A BB Gun…Sled- Red Racer…Bow and Arrow. And always clothes for Christmas…GI Joe…
- Sledding down steep hills wildly, yet enjoying every moment. (But dangerous too)
Prayerfully Consider Giving . . .
As we celebrate this Christmas Season would ask you to prayerfully consider giving a special Christmas Offering.
2025 has been another amazing year for us and we expect the same in 2026. Anything you can give will be so appreciated.
We also like Christmas Cards too. It’s always nice to go to the mailbox seeing letters and cards.
As we look back on this year, 2025 we are once again looking in awe all that God has done. Our primary area of Ministry is in the Nations of Eastern Europe.
This year we have seen EIGHT new churches started in such countries as Poland, Albania, Slovenia, Bulgaria and others. Thank you for helping us do this.
We so look forward to 2026 in all that God will do not only in America and Eastern Europe but around the world. We look to see at least SEVEN more churches started next year in Eastern Europe.
We feel so privileged to be a part of HIS plan in these amazing days we are living in. Thank you for all you do to help us. Please know it is NEVER taken for granted.
A Special Merry Christmas to you once again from us.
And yes, ‘TIS THE SEASON . . . To be Thankful and Rejoice because of the Birth of Jesus, our Savior . . .
Brenda and Jim
